Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana – PMMVY is a maternity benefit programme offered by the government of India under which a cash incentive of Rs. 5,000 is provided to pregnant women and lactating mothers. The incentive is provided for the first living child of the family for fulfilling the specific maternal and child health conditions!

To provide compensation for the wage loss in terms of cash incentives so that the woman can take adequate rest before and after delivery of the first living child. It is a partial compensation which is a part of a plan to provide a total sum of Rs. 6,000 on an average to the woman. The remaining cash incentive (of Rs. 1,000) is provided under Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) after institutional delivery.

How to apply Matru Vandana Yojana?
A beneficiary can apply for the scheme only within 730 days from the date of her Last Menstrual Period (MP). The LMP registered in the MCP card will be treated as the Date of Pregnancy under the scheme.

દેશભરમાં મહિલાઓ અને નવજાત બાળકોના ભવિષ્યને લઈને કેન્દ્ર સરકાર અનેક અગત્યના પગલાં ઉઠાવી રહી છે. ગર્ભવતી મહિલાઓ અને નવજાત બાળકોના વિકાસને ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને કેન્દ્ર સરકારે PMMVY યોજના બનાવી છે. આ યોજના હેઠળ ગર્ભવતી મહિલાઓ અને સ્તનપાન કરાવતી મહિલાઓને 5000 રૂપિયાની આર્થિક મદદ કરવામાં આવે છે. 5000 રૂપિયા ત્રણ અલગ-અલગ હપ્તામાં આપવામાં આવે છે. નોંધનીય છે કે, 19 વર્ષથી પહેલા ગર્ભવતી થયેલી મહિલાઓને આનો લાભ નહીં મળે.

જાણો ક્યારે મળે છે પૈસા ?
આ યોજના હેઠળ પહેલીવાર ગર્ભવતી થતાં પોષણ માટે 5000 રૂપિયા ગર્ભવતીના ખાતામાં આપવામાં આવે છે. તેનો પહેલો હપ્તો 1000 રૂપિયાનો ગર્ભધારણના 150 દિવસની અંદર ગર્ભવતી મહિલા દ્વારા રજિસ્ટ્રેશન થતાં આપવામાં આવે છે, જ્યારે બીજો હપ્તો 2000 રૂપિયા 180 દિવસની અંદર આપવામાં આવે છે. ત્રીજો હપ્તો 2000 રૂપિયા પ્રસવ બાદ અને શિશુના પ્રથમ રસીકરણનું ચક્ર પૂર્ણ થવા મળે છે.
કઈ મહિલાઓને મળે છે તેનો લાભ ?
આ યોજનાનો લાભ એ મહિલાઓને મળે છે જે દૈનિક પગાર પર કામ કરી રહી છે કે પછી જેની આર્થિક સ્થિતિ ઘણી નબળી છે. આ યોજનાનો મુખ્ય ઉદ્દેશ્ય ગર્ભાવસ્થા દરમિયાન મજૂરીમાં થયેલા નુકસાનને ઓછું કરવાનો છે. આ આર્થિક મદદ મળવાથી ગર્ભવતી મહિલાઓને આરામ કરવાનો સમય મળી જાય છે. આ યોજનાનો લાભ એ મહિલાઓને નથી મળતો જે કોઈપણ કેન્દ્રીય કે પછી રાજ્ય સરકારના ઉપક્રમ સાથે જોડાયેલી છે.

માતૃત્વ વંદના યોજના 2022 અંતર્ગત કેન્દ્ર સરકારે અરજીની પ્રક્રિયાને ઓનલાઇન કરી દીધી છે. એટલે કે લાભાર્થી જાતે જ ઓનલાઇન અરજી કરી શકે છે. તેના માટે સૌથી પહેલા લાભાર્થીને www.Pmmvy-cas.nic.in પર લોગીન કરીને અરજી કરવાની રહેશે. આ પ્રક્રિયા ઓનલાઇન છે. જેથી ઘરે બેઠા ઇન્ટરનેટના માધ્યમથી સરળતાથી કરી શકાશે.
